Locking is a natural process that will occur as long as there is a curl pattern in the hair. Therefore, it takes about a year or so before the locks fully mature. For permanent locks you would want to use the Traditional Locks, Sisterlocks tm, or Latch Hooking techniques. For temporary locks you would want to use the Coil or Two-Strand Twist. The advantage of Sisterlocks is that it is the only lock technique that can be used to lock relaxed hair. Locking can be done on hair starting at lengths of 1” or 2” inches.
